    Hi Folks,

I am going to build a traditional pointed picket fence to section off my plot, it has to span about 25 feet, with a gate in the middle. I currently have sections of 10 X 3cm planks of wood. Ideally I would like to use the wood as it is to reduce the amount of sawing and to a height of about 100cms.
Could anyone recommend the correct proportions in height, size of panels, posts, points and batons without it looking out of proportion?
    Many thanks in advance.

I am thinking of taking up the conifer hedge in the front garden do you think this would be a big job
Will the conifers be better cut down and then try and get the roots out or just to cut them as near to ground level
I have a palisade fence on the right hand side of garden and I was thinking of putting another one in place of the conifers 2ft or 3ft high does anyone have any ideas please
