We've just purchased and planted a victoria Plum tree and a Cherry tree. The plum is fairly well sheltered from the high winds we've been experiencing but we have staked the cherry to keep the roots as stable as possible.

Is there any other advice you guys can offer on care and upkeep of these, so far we've followed the advice on the labels but I know different experts on this site have different methods for success.

    Many thanks

I've read that it is best not to let them fruit in the first year to encourage a good establishment and to water regularly. However, don't excessively water between leaf fall and the buds opening.
