I recently bought a olive tree and I was told that it was around 12 years old and around 2.5m tall. It came in a 30litre pot. I am planning to plant it about 1 meter from the main drain pipes, will the roots break or damage the drain pipes. Would it be safer to leave it in a Large pot?

Also any other advice on planting this would be great!

I`ve had my Olive growing in a pot for about 5 years now and it has quite a few ( small ) fruit again this year. I am, however, going to plant it in the ground this winter the only reason being that I am changing my garden around a bit. If you do keep yours in a pot don`t forget to feed and water it regularly. David.
