I have had a few plants and they just dont survive long-term in my lounge, i get the sun in the mornings and then it can become quite dark and also i only have two small windows at the top with not a lot of air especially in this hot weather, have had to buy a fan.
even cut flowers dont last long in my lounge.
I am looking for something tall.
Bananaman i do like the plant that you bought from tescos that you have in your lounge do you think it would be ok in my lounge or any other suggestions from members

It's only a fiver, give it a go. I don't do anything special to it, gets the same treatment as the MIL Tongue.

been to tesco and got me one of those plants with no name is it zz ones.
I got the last one it was sort of pot bound and keeling over so i re-potted it when i got it home, put it near my window should be fine.
There was a ticket with mine it says,
IDEAL FOR WARM & BRIGHT ROOMS position a bright position avoiding full sun and draughts. The warm should suit it and hopefully i have enough light.
    See how it goes.

Strangely, most of the ones I've seen here look pot bound so I wonder if they prefer it that way?

LOL LoL mine was once in a round pot and now it is very much oval. I think you are right that they like it on the pot bound side.

It's probably okay Rosa. It will just fill your new pot. Have a look on the site I mentioned above.
