Aerating the lawn today

So, post cutting I decided have a try aerating the lawn. I'd picked up some of these earlier :



I've no idea if it will do any good at all - but it was the funniest thing I've done in the garden to date --- I was literally falling about crying with laughter.

The neighbours thought i'd finally lost all the marbles

 

Well at least they kept you amused. I don't know if the spikes are long enough but they certainly won't do any harm. I've thought about buying them in the past but I have a dodgy ankle so won't risk it.
