Was going to pick one up from Argos - £15.

I guess it does not have hollow tines?

Will it do - I don't fancy doing the whole lawn with a fork.

I bought a Tudor lawn spiker for about £35, I don't think a £15 one will be up to much.

Ok if you've got light soil but it's a bit heavy going on my heavy clay.

Does yours pull bits of soil out the ground (hollow tines?) or just stick spikes in?

I've just ordered a spear and jackson hollow tine aerator - one that pulls plugs of soil ou tthe lawn as they seem much preferred over one that just spikes the lawn - particularly for clay/compacted lawns. It was £20 delivered off ebay.
