Thought you might like to see my favourite view of the garden before the storm which is forecast for this area destroys it.

Lovely pic Palustris, hope it stays that way. Fingers crossed for you all but when I spoke to my cousin in Beds (Mr Davris) about three quarters of an hour ago, he also said they had been warned of a real nasty brewing. Battern down the hatches and hope for the best folks.

Pal I hope your garden is intact - wonderful picture and I remember previous pictures.

Having seen the devastation in some areas I got my fingers crossed. So much for flaming June eh!

We have been very lucky really, looking at the TV pictures. The only difference between Sunday and today, after the rain, is that the white flowers in the middle are now floating in the pond! The rest of the garden is pretty much as it was. The main damage is to some tall campanulas, which always fall over even in a normal summer.
One of our daughter's friends garden is now 20 miles down river!

Good to hear, but so sorry for your daughters friends.

Hopefully ater this weekend the worse will be over, and we can all relax and get on with our gardening. and indeed lives.

I feel for all those affected by floods, if it was just water - could be liveable, but raw sewage as is unimaginable.
