Been away since before last weekend, got home to find the results of the boys party.

Never mind the broken shower screen, blind ripped off the wall, trashed office and paint all over my bedroom carpet.

Someone has cut down my Tomato Plants:paladin::paladin::paladin::huh::huh::huh::wallbang::wallbang::wallbang:

Cheers for the kind thoughts Chris:dbgrtmb: Probably too late in the season to start again, i'll see if anything grows from the stumps, give it a good feed of worm wee wee tommorow.

        Unreal

Was this "boys" within the family ?
        Surely not !

The blind down could be an accident but paint on floor and tomatoes ripped down, seems wilful

I feel sorry for you with this after all your hard work

I do not know if I would cry or wrip their heads off, certainly grounded and no cash going their way for a looooooonnnggg time

        Incenced from Fife

It was my lads party, he's pretty sensible. It was the lack of control of a small number of the "guests" that lead to the police phoning me in the middle of the night.

He'll be clearing up, scrubbing paint, re bedding the paving slabs, repairing the shower etc. for the next few weeks.

Never mind all that though, when I find out who is responsable for trashing the veg garden..... Hell hath no Fury like A Gardener De Lawned.

It could have been worse, at least the West Bay Plot ones are safe (Blight alert received for DT4 today withstanding:DOH:)

Apparently, they weren't cut down, they were just walked over, like my office then:DOH:

If so, where have the tops of the plants gone:DOH:

There is a scooter glove in the patch. Will take a ladder & nail that halfway up a telegraph pole tommorow as a warning.

Haven't been with my friend Capt'n Morgan for a few months, but i'm visiting him tonight:cheers::paladin::parsnip:

I feel for you Ziggy, you try and do your best for your kids, give them a bit of freedom and that's how they repay you. It's not your lad to blame by the sounds of it but I'd be gutted in your position too.

                Hey John,

Cheers for the kind thoughts:thumbsup: Ha Ha, they didn't know that trampling the onions would only cause them to ripen:yess: And that their inapropriate "watering" of your Box Trees would only feed them :):dbgrtmb:

We've all been young, & I don't blame the boy, only his lack of understanding of how others disrespect things that don't belong to them.

But Hey, now I feel guilty about the party I had in Portsmouth Road when I was his age, a tree got uprooted by a gatecrasher & I didn't find it till my folks got back 2 weeks later:DOH:

If it can make you feel better I can send you a couple of my supercool tomato plants
                (free of charge of course!)
                - they would be about 10-15 cm but very well established.

Any larger I think they would break in the post. Just tell me where to send them.
(don't ask me what type they are because I have put down at least six different types)

It does sound awful the damage after the party...But it is not always easy to keep an eye everywhere when there are a few people around.
I hope that your son had a good time and was all worth it (well, in a way...).

When I was a teenager, a boy I knew had quite elderly parents - at least, they seemed very old to us kids. They were probably about thirty-eight. :heehee: Anyway, despite the fact that mum and dad were quite set in their ways and didn't like noise or mess, they allowed their son to hold a party. There were two hollow brick pillars on either side of their driveway, which each held a dwarf conifer. After the party, the conifers were found chucked on the compost heap at the end of the garden. (Best place for them, if you ask me, but that's another thread.) Dad was so enraged that he carefully replanted the trees in their original positions, but on beds of broken glass. The following weekend the trees were once again missing ... and the pillars were splattered with blood.

An idea for some new planters for the garden using the empties?
