I decided to go for a fungi forage this afternoon as I noticed that it's really picked up recently and I could barely go 2 paces without spotting a Toadstool:D

I haven't really had much time to go through them all although there were some quite interesting ones amongst the mix so feel free to delve in and offer ID's for any of them:heehee:

Here's a few from the albums

    Album 1

    Album 2

would love to find a market stall in my area that sells wild edible mushrooms

I remember as a child, I used to go with my dad in forest in Zambia (was called Northern Rhodesia in the old days)

we used to come back with large bag of mushrooms which my dad used to cook (I was approx 6 years old at the time)

my dad owned an old land rover (as spare car) ... certain times of the year, we used to drive on farmland roads with the spotlights on ... used to 'bump' into hares (giagantic rabbits) which we used to eat

had a grove of mango trees, and avo tree next to he house .... monkeys in the garden .... a massive foofee slide .... tropical gardens as we were close to the equator

good childhood memories ... was a british colony and sadly that country went to the dump

Wow very nice Chris:sunny: is that in your own garden? I think your right about them not being very poisonous just the usual Stomach upset and sickness along with some rather realistic dreams:rolleyespink: I'm sure I read somewhere that reindeer herders in parts of Scandinavia used to let there hers graze over Fly Agaric and then drink the urine thus avoiding the illness side of things:scratch:

            and naughty naughty Hydrogen:heehee:

            Lovely Pics Chris.:dbgrtmb:

I think 3 is a lethal dose, mind you, took me 4 days to get better from 1.

Is that your close studded timber framed house with wind bracing?
