Agapanthus Black Jack plant of the year UK 2023

Hi all

I was fortunate the day before the RHS awarded the plant of the year Agapanthus Black Jack I bought it in the Crocus sale with 25% of all perennials' ...
amazingly now all sold out in the UK and new stock will be available 2024 (maybe a few available but the price has shot up)

Definitely a worthy winner and I thought the variety Black Magic (which I grow) was dark but this is even darker.... been flowering for weeks and what I like don't need staking ....

I was thinking of keeping some seeds and see what I get should be interesting

Now you know better that all black flowers are various shades of purple

 

Does it repeat flower?
I just get the one flowering period out of mine and that's why they dont get much attention.

 

I picked one up same week as Chelsea flower show without the hiked price . Mine a nice purple also but the buds at first are nearly black
