Hi from the South West of France! I wonder if anyone can help with a remedy for an ailing Cypress tree At end of February we planted 3 potted cypress trees (approx 6 feet high) and 2 seem to have taken, the other not ie looks definitely like it is dying with browning foliage and no new green growth. The trees are staked and have been regularly watered but we did have a very windy Spring so they got buffetted a bit. Is it all over for that tree or is it worth digging up, checking roots and spreading, removing any rotted ones and replanting? Any advice would be welcome as they are an expensive investment!
    Thanks Deborah :(

    Hi [email protected],

If two out of three trees have successfully taken well then there's probably very little you can do with the third one. Sometimes trees just die. It's often due to mis-handling or poor planting techniques, even at the nursey before you bought them. You could try adding extra nutrients etc. butI would not recommend digging it up simply to work the roots. If you dig it up then dig it up for removal.
