On our way up to Birkenhead we did a detour to Akamba in Shirley, Solihull.
This (recommended on another site) is a small Garden Centre specialising in Palms and exotics. It is based on an African theme and has ties with a Nairobi supporting many causes there.

There are many animal sculptures around which adds to the Kenyan feel.
Inhouse Advisor was NOT one of them!:heehee:

Nice to see pics of Akamb'a, Clive, as I've heard about it so much too. Thanks for sharing that. Nice pic of Mrs. :)

Did you buy anything for the potential new home?

        Strangely enough, I didn't!!!!
I think the prices are similar to other Exotic GC's but I didn't see anything I wanted (needed:rolleyespink:). I fancied the Agave Medio-picta but at £50 or £80 I walked past them.
I did buy a Yucca Recurvifolia 'Banana Split' at Tatton Park NT shop for a fiver.

Vicky, as you know UKEG have regular meets there but I dion't think I am in their buying league.:D
