      Popped in today and bought a bird box, very good quality, especially for the price :thumbsup:

      Must say the wildlife and bird books are much better than I expected them to be, just didn't need one as I already have decent ones.

      I make birdy boxes for free (apart from the screws) from off cuts of marine ply from a boat building chum. Also make bird feeders from bits and bobs. :sunny: Cheers, Tony.

        I love making them myself too when I can get the wood, no point in buying the wood though, too expensive round here. Certainly couldn't make one for £5...

        Best thing about making your own is you can try different designs and you get more satisfaction if a bird uses them :dbgrtmb:
