Alerts being received

    Could anyone explain why I keep getting alerts on threads that I am not 'watching' please?

    This comes up a few times on the forum. Please check your preferences, make sure you don't have the box ticked as below:

      You may still get alerts from old threads, if so just above the first post on the right hand side you will see watch thread or unwatch thread(in blue writing) click on unwatch thread and this will stop any alerts from the thread, but you will have to do this on all the threads you don't want any more

        Thanks @Jiffy for your help, the thing was, I don't recall watching it in the first place!
        I also didn't know this 'site/ feedback/bugs forum' existed and put this in the wrong place! thank you to whoever moved it.
