Alliums for Pollinating Insects

    Has anyone got any recommendations for the best varieties of Alliums to attract pollinating insects? I have planted Allium cristophii and that is good but I'd like another variety as well. Thanks.

    Doesn't anyone grow alliums on Gardenerscorner? Which varieties have lots of bees and butterflies on them now?

      Purple sensation went down well in my garden and this yellow one that i cant remember what its called but it came in a bulb collection pack from yougarden so it will be back on their website later in the year and i can tell you then lol sorry really mot helpful

        I find that Allium siculum nectaroscordum are the best for bees and pollinating insects and you don't have to worry about them fading away in a few years. They propagate themselves very easily.

        We had loads for sale at our open garden and I still had to go round digging up loads more as they were so popular!
