Allotment available near Ickenham?

    I was reading through an article today (a fairly twee one at that, relating economy to allotments) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8081900.stm
    ... and noticed that there's reference to what would appear to be unused allotments in the area. If anyone's interested it might be worth a call?? Just though it may be of interest to someone.

    Loofah now wouldn't be wonderful if we could match up vacant plots with people who want to grow their own?

    There's two spare plots on one of our three allotment sites in our village at Thurcroft, Rotherham but both need an awful lot of work on them.Hel.xxx.

    good afternoon can some one help me i am looking for allotment some where near fleet hampshire. or not far from this town love to grow plants my late dad and late uncle and late grandad used to grow vegs and flowers i have been into plants for a long time. think i love to grow some plants to entry in a show. when i go around garden centers all the veg plants just sitting there ready for the bin . thats a shame i love to resuce all the lovely plants . so i would love any help i can please
