Would it be possible for there to be a section for those of us who have allotment plots then we will be able to post photos of our vegetables, fruit, weeds pests etc and also progress reports of how we are doing on the plots and also to be able to answer any allotment questions that may arise, how to care for hens or even how to put up sheds and make raised beds etc.Ta very much:thumb:

PS it would also be open for any non allotment plot holders that might have knowledge of various fruit and veg problems that might crop up so to speak and how to put things right:)

I have to agree with Kandy on that an allotment thread would be ideal more so as I have just taken one on and would love to know what to expect from future years of growing your own so to speak.

It also might just encourage others to have a go as well, as you really can't beat growing your own veggies. I have already acquired quite a bit of allotment grown vegatables (all given freely I hasten to add) from the charming guys down the alloment and we haven't had our plot even a week yet!

It's really an amazing sight to see plots upon plots of vegetables lovingly grown by the plot owner so a place that is especially an allotment thread would be wonder and as Kandy has already said it needn't be just for us 'allotmenteers' others could join in too!

I'm sure The Master will be up for this too as he's one buzy bee down on his allotment also. Hel.xxx.

Thats brilliant Master (lol I'm playing Igor again!) just goes to show that we do indeed need an allotment section on this forum as I have to look elsewhere at other allotment sites just to get an idea what I should be doing or thinking about doing and tricks of the trade so to speak. I would prefer to keep all my eggs in one basket and stay loyal to this wonderful site if I can.

Also you never know Master's wonderful pictures might even inspire others to join the allotmenteers as I know it did me!:thumb: Hel.xxx.

I don't see any problem with having an allotment area, as it will cover areas that others do not.

    Leave it with me :)
