My small collection of Alocasias growing in the living room. A amazonica Poly, a few years old. A amazonica Bambino. A Dragon Scale. A Black Velvet. A. cuprea red with new coppery leaves.
I like the a. cuprea. I've only got odorata, which will be shortly learning what a British summer is like
My first choice of favourite plants are the prayer plant family. But over the past few months everytime I went to my garden centre this other type of plant, also with stunning leaves like the prayer plants, began to catch my eye. It turns out they are Alocasias! So, last week I bought my first Alocasia, a dragon scale, a tiny guy, which I'm hoping won't be as challenging as my prayer plants.
