Hi. Hubby has been helping me whilst I have been away. As asked, every day he would take the plants, seedlings on the dining table and put them outside and then bring them back in at night. 4 days - cool-cold days. Anyway - somehow my aloe plant found its way outside and it is beyond unhappy. So the question is does it get tossed into the garden waste bin or can I go in the compost?

Aloe is a fantastic product but would it damage the compost bin material?

    Thank you.
    Abbie
PS - no I don't need another aloe plant. I sell and advise on aloe health and wellbeing products, so I have what I need in a more appropriately sized vessle. Jesus it was getting big!

    Hi Abbie,

I think it would help if you could tell us what it is as some are hardier than others.

Barbadensis Miller. Oh its not coming back to life unfortunately. I have been back a week and as it looked so past it, it has remained outside. Its been pretty cold up here in the North East UK. I just want to know if the compost bin will benefit from it or not. Ta

I'm surprised any kind of Aloe was not capable of surviving outside at this time of the year, are you sure just four days finished it off?
    Did you get a frost?

You can put it in the compost bin, its only plant material, like any other plant .
