Alas I don't have the name of this place but it is quite close to the crossroads at Calver in the Peak district heading in the direction of Froggatt. Not to be confused with the nearby garden centre it is a private rock garden run by a couple with a passion for alpines. Many rare and hard to find plants are for sale and I think they boast the largest selection in the midlands. I well recommend it.

Steve Furness is the owner. The Alpine Plant Centre is the name and he has a HUGE selection of Sempervivums and Jovibarba (like 900 plus?).

He does doesn't he! I picked up a very nice variety called "jackpot" from there. Quite expensive as it doesn't put out runners and is a bit of a ****** to divide apparently, but it is very attractive with dark leaves edged with pale green.
