Alternative use for a boat

This is what happens when my OH leaves his boat lying around!



It's been fully established with plants and fish for 4 years now.

This may be the start of a new hobby - my daughter has introduced me to photobucket - now I just need to steal the camera from her!

 

hi fmay, that pic is definitely Wind in the Willows material.Truely magical.

 

fmay, have you got any whopping skunk cabbages, I grow them at a much reduced size with my gunnera.

Are whopping skunk cabbages similar to the whomping willow in Harry Potter?

 

'Cottage garden boat' (because the slugs eat everything at ground level!) - see next project in the background!

Have your rivers dried up fmay ? It is a great idea and gives you load of planting space. Skunk cabages are great and easy to grow. These are at Beth Chattos (middle of the photo) down the road and are lovely.
