Alyssum, pricking out

    When pricking out Alyssum should they be done individually or in small clumps like Lobelia. The only reason I ask as I have seen them growing side by side in borders and both plants look about the same size and shape.

    Hi Harry.

    We used to prick out singly in the Parks years ago .. But I usually prick out 2 together . Your choice me thinks ..
    Traditionally used alternate with blue lobelia ..
    My wife used to say, making the garden like a Park again ..I love tradition bedding layout ..

    Singly, they spread well enough on their own.:)
