Lovely pictures Sigord, but may I just say that that a lot of those that you have posted all seem as if they have been over-enhanced.

If the bottom middle pic was my garden, I'd never be in my house. I agree they've been edited, but given that the whole art of photography is about capturing the essence of what's there, as opposed to the cold hard fact of what can be captured in about 10ms of shutter time on something like a 3mm lens, I think its very powerful.

When we dream of a place, we dream of it in a level of detail and beauty that our eyes are physically incapable of seeing but our mind can comprehend. The Photoshop artist is surely only trying to recreate what our minds would imagine and remember if we'd experienced such vistas first hand.

Thanks all the snippets I publish here are from many emails sent to me over the years from friends in Seniors Forums or perhaps FaceBook. I would be happy to arrange for any of you to join either forum if you ask me. I have no control as the where the photos originate nor their quality. I just use either MS Word or a variety of simple programs of my own to present the images from emails etc and of course remove all email addresses.

I then select say six for here to insert into Word and use the Screen Dump ( Alt+PrtSc) to create and Irfanview crop the JPG. The full set of images are usually uploaded to my site on the same day as I show them here, and the week's collection are shown again on a Thirsdsay

Thank you for the offer Sigord but Gardeners Corner is enough for me. :)
