Hi tomato growers this year I grew Amish Gold tomatoes, Some sources say they are a cross between Sungold and Amish Paste. This is a very good nice sweet tomato, fruits described as being one to one and a half inches long.
Out of five plants I have grown four grew tomatoes as described above and as expected.
Tomatoes were 1 to 1-1/2” long ranging from 22 to 32 grams.
However if this cross is correct I wonder if it is stable.
One plant has loads of tomatoes of which around 10% are normal Amish gold size and shape. However the other 90% of tomatoes on this plant are pear shaped and up to five times the size of the normal ones. Size of pear shaped ones range from 100grams to 166 grams
These are even better tasting juicy and sweet.

    Regards Alex

Very interesting adam, it's not a variety I've grown before and I like the sound of it. I think your one odd plant is a throwback, that's the trouble with heritage plants as they are not maintained by a breeder any more they will be variable, so you get a few that are different each year, usually the throwback is worse sometime better, so you can save the seed from that one plant and fingers crossed get even nicer next year :blue thumb:
