I have seen a lot of complaints about their late deliveries this year. Spring was awful, and they won a Gold Medal at Hampton Court (or maybe a different RHS show) which no doubt took their eye off the ball ... but if you are able to go there to collect I would recommend it. Amulree, Urban Jungle and Will Giles garden are within 30 minutes drive of each other, which may make the journey worthwhile for anyone travelling a longer distance (all are in Norwich)

I went there about a month ago , with my order list in his hands he took me around to show me all the dead plants I`ve ordered , most of the plants I`ve been ordered didn`t even survived the spring inside his heated propagators ......he simple told me to take what I wanted all for half price ........you can not get upset with him.

Sirius , I suggest you to have a nice day out as Kristen suggest , you can pick the plant you want and most of all you can really see how the plants look after one year in the garden , do not expect any manicured garden center , it`s a one men dream , Simon work 7 days a week , you will see loads of dead plants , plant that really can hold cold , plant that can even hold a snail and so on.....
Will giles garden it`s a must see

Unfortunately I am not going to be able to get up there in the foreseeable future.

So I am going to have to go mail order, if I do get something from him.
I am particularly keen on the hardy palms. I thought a Butia capitata for was worth ago. As long as it is in a decent condition.....

www.hardy-palms.co.uk has an excellent reputation for really good quality palm plants - raised and hardened in the UK, rather than the "drawn look" from imports.

Simon @ Amulree's may be fine, I have no personal experience, but I do see a lot of people recommending Nigel @ Hardy Palms

        Thanks Kristen,
I had a look, but they don't have Butias listed.
The Palm Centre does have some at the moment.

The Amulree attraction was the 1/2 price sale, but I guess there is no point if the plant is a bit suspect and won't last the winter.
