An old newby.

Hi to you all, last year I inherited a garden from the previous people who owned the house and what a mess it is. I am hoping you good natured people will be able to help me along the way as I have not been able to get my green fingers working (more to the point, I don't have any) up to now so please take pity on me.

No need to take any pity on you whatsoever, because we were all new to gardening at some point or other. They are a lovely bunch of people here and they have held my hand for almost 3 years as I've tackled the weighty topic of "Gardening" and I have no doubt they will do the same for you too

Now, just to set you on the right track, they will wish to know:-
~ where you are located (roughly, not your address )
~ what type of soil you have
~ which direction your garden faces
~ what style of garden you are aiming for
~ Oh, and certain nebby noses will also be asking you to post pictures

Good luck in your new home and with your new garden - just remember, Rome wasn't built in a day and nor is a garden
