 My friend sent me this saying he used it all last year to control spider mite in his greenhouse & just about any other mite as well with the best success to date over any other organic sprays... :rolleyespink:

:WINK1: If nothing else the greenhouse should smell good... :heehee:

      Sorry I might be thick
how many lavender flowers in how much water to start this off

I mean ten flower heads in a gallon, would not need the same 50 - 1 dilution as twenty flower heads in a pint ?

Otherwise it seems a very good idea

      Thanks

Because I had dug my lavender up and it was languishing in a trug I cut all the flowers off to conserve energy, :thumbsup:I had put the flowers in green recycle bag, so I retrieved them and put them in a bucket of water.:WINK1:

I yesterday sprayed some of the diluted liquid over my greenhouse plants, :D my aubergines seemed particularily badly affected, :OUCH:

I will have a look later and see if any effects yet :coffee:

      Yes but

300 flower heads in a pint of water would be totally different to 30 flower heads in a gallon of water
We need a start figure to get the mixture right before we dilute it 50-1

Sounds like Homeopathy to me, some sort of Witchcraft.

Oops sorry folks but the quantity is there... 1 tablespoon of flowers to a cup of water, but I have moved on from the flowers myself as I thought it such a waste of lovely flowers, so I now use 1 bottle of Lavender essential oil (in our cheap shop 2 for £1) to 1 litre of water in a small spray bottle.. Keep shaking it every so often to keep as an emulsion & I spray that now with excellent results... Plus it smells nice too.!! :D

I think its working,:dancy: but a question on strength and frequency of use :what: if its really only the oil from the lavender flowers etc, does it matter how strong or often you use it ,:help:

Well I have used it on a weekly basis at times Pam , as I said I have now moved on to the Lavender oil & no problems with that on the plants & daily around the floor area of the greenhouse to keep ants & other little nasties out.. :D
