Annoyed & slightly confused by ..

    ... my greenhouse tomatoes. They're doing fine, growing and fruiting well (just about ripe), but yesterday I find that 4 of the little perishers had got blossom end rot. It's not affected any other plant, any other trusses on the same plant nor indeed the remaining fruit on the same truss - which I shall pick today. I can only assume that with such a high yield and the silly temperatures we had, that somehow this particular truss didn't get it's regular supply of water.

    Whatever the cause, I took it as a personal insult!

    It's not just you FidgetsMum; I've lost one or two to that already, of the bigger beefsteak variety I'm trying to grow - I never have any luck with those.

    I have had a couple on my Tigerella variety too.
