IMG_4957.JPG Enjoyed making the rosehip syrup and now wondering what these berries are and if I could make anything out of them? Any ideas?

    Guelder Rose http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/vis...life/british-trees/native-trees/guelder-rose/

Not suitable for eating, but various references on web to being OK for winemaking, but no trusted source of recipes or reviews by anybody who's made it, so never tried, based upon if it was OK in would be in various books, but I've around 100 and it's not mentioned in any of them. Suspect even ifb OK it doesn't taste any good. Also mentions online about using for jam/jelly, but again I've never seen a recipe in any book.

Not sure if this adds much to the debate, but interesting:

Excellent. Contains a very wide range of conventional and unconventional food plants (including tropical) and where they can be obtained (mainly N. American nurseries but also research institutes and a lot of other nurseries from around the world.

Not the Mother-in-Law. They have a tendency to brew them as use them as fuel for their broomsticks on Halloween. I know mine would!:roflol:
