    Hi people.
On my dog walking expedition last week, I came across a dumped bed base ready for collection by council. I immediately went into 'what would that be useful for?' Mode. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1445119832.394883.jpg
Already having some spare tree stakes, I started to think what I needed. The plan is to create a frost protection area so was out here in the cold and rain constructing a frame. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1445120021.104650.jpg
The idea is to cover in polythene sheeting to give vulnerable plants some protection. Will need to find some polythene from somewhere which will be probably be stapled into place with Velcro to seal front doors. Unless of course, you have a better idea for protection?

    Cheers, All the best, Russ

      Hi Russ,

That's a brilliant idea. It's the sort of thing I could do with :)

Decided to go to B&Q this morning to pick up some logs for fire to keep me warm while outside and picked up polythene and protection fleece at the same time.
It started out nice, weather wise but started raining before long. However, I stapled on polythene and started to cut to size. It's hammering down now so have had to leave it. I did come up with an idea for a fastening system though using screws and a piece of Gaffer tape for reinforcement and cutting a buttonhole into the tape to use like a button. Seems to work well but time will tell. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1445191542.745007.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1445191560.048313.jpg

Won't be any wrinkles when finished. The polythene, not me! He he.

Getting there. Fronts open fine with button arrangement. Hope it actually works as protection from frost. Have a fleece lining to install tomorrow. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

You must have a sheltered garden Rustler. It's a great idea but would disappear very quickly from my garden in windy weather.

Time will tell. Hoping it should be ok.
