    Hi All

New to the forum and trying to become a better gardener. We have this, quite new, Eucalyptus gunni in our garden. It is in quite a restricted space and was initially bought for fast privacy screening. I can sense some groans of people who have read that and guessing what is the following question!

With regular pruning, could we keep this tree in this location and restrict it to maybe another 1m of growth, roughly 3m total then? If so, does anyone know if the roots will continue to grow and prove difficult or will they also be reduced as a side effect of the top pruning?

I appreciate the time spent reading this and nay comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi

we do groan about the weather lol and welcome

this responds to hard pruning to the ground every three or 4 years , and that is what people into floristry and flower arranging do. So yes you can pick a height and prune. The roots will stay to the size of the tree.
