    Hi, I've only recentley left school (well more of a year ago now:eek:) and I'm doing a BTEC 1st Diploma in Horticulture at the isle of wight college and Hopefully next year i can get on the L3 course (fingers crossed) an then maybe university to study botany:D i really like gardening but i prefer more finding out things about plants,facts and names just interesting information.

    So thats basically me in a nutshell LOL hope to talk to everyone on the forums:thumb:

    Slinky, as a young lass of 14 I went to work on a nursery at weekends and school holidays to further my education.............I made a very similar comment to yours about Dirt and was very smartly told that is not dirt that is soil............never did I call it dirt again but of course later I did learn about all the constituent ingredients which had turned that 'dirt' into soil. Lol.

    Hello Kal!

    Great that you have such certainty of the direction of your ambition! Go for it!!! Work hard and play hard too! The Isle of Wight must be lovely this time of year...

    It'll be interesting to hear about the sort of things you are learning about - and there's plenty of able folks to help you with homework and projects - for a fee that is !.... payments to be made in jellybabies - especially the black and green ones will get you far on this forum!

    It's nice here - you are among friends already!
