Like webmaster ..so much do do but im looking forward to this one(in the next door village),plus we had a break in at the shed at the other allotments(our village) with most tools gone :gaah:I was warned it would happen but i thought it wouldnt
Its been mostly covered for 12 month and nothing has grown here for a 4 yrs:dancy:but does look bumpy so a lot of leveling to be done :blue thumb:

Sorry you got your tools stolen joolz....you can't leave anything unattended these days.

Looks like you've got plenty to do though with your new plot. :hapydancsmil:

I got some free brussels sprout seeds through the post. They're called Agincourt F1 by Mr Fothergills. I can't use them as I've got no room. I can stick them in the post for you if you want them? :)

Looking Good Joolz .... What are you looking to grow ?

Will the trees be a problem in the summer months with regards to how close to whatever your are looking at growing, with either shade or water ?

Thanks fern really kind of you,ive not eaten the ones i grew last yr so i doubt i will be growing sprouts again,no fans of them or red cabbage in this house apart from me :)xx

The trees will be chopped down,i think its mostly evening sun mid summer that they will cause shade,i was told they was planted as a wind break originally but like we know trees suck nutrients from the soil so its off with thier heads
I got my seed potatoes on thurs:),il defo be growing cabbage(in abundance), kale, broccoli, chard, onions(from sets) spring & bunching onions, leeks(lots of),...peas,beans,nasturtiums(from seedswap:blue thumb:),giant pumpkins:dancy:,M's giant sunflowers
Courgettes&carrots, lettuce types i might do like pak choi but others i might grow at home.
Fennel, coriander, sage, rosemary, thyme, chives i will also plant at the allotment even thou i have or grow it at home.
Your doing a great job clearing your plot:dbgrtmb: im dreading uncovering mine :heehee:x

Are you giving up your other plot then or keeping both?

Ive just been looking at the pics ive taken to see where is best to start clearing it and i noticed there are holes in 2 of the mounds(dump lumps),could something be living in them?
This mound is 5 ft high & 4ft wide and runs the width of the allotment..
This is just a heap about 3ft high,,
