Just been having my daily read of BBC News and I found this.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-23798012

Snail numbers 50% up from last year, they move faster than previously thought, and can carry a parasite that can prove fatal to dogs.

Time to get stamping I reckon.

I use a (homemade) cattie to send mine well into orbit after reading ones that get lobbed over the hedge find their way back in a day!

      Cheers, Tony.

That might be why the scientists are saying they get further in one night than they previously thought:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I had one of those where I lived before, we had sliding patio doors and they were on them when it was opened, and dropped into the track indoors, well that was my theory, to get the little blighter, we had no animals I placed a piece of paper in the area I could see his trails, generous layer of salt, next morning he was slime..[IMG]

I've just realised they're saying the top speed of a snail has been identified at 1 meter per hour. Sorry scientists but that's wrong. I've seen them move much faster than that.

As an aside, its just been on the TV news. I wasn't really listening but I heard him say "you'll probably be alright, unless you're french":lunapic 130165696578242 5:
