    Hi,

I have this lovely plant that is just over half the height of my house. It has beautiful big white flowers in summer, I think it is some sort of magnolia but not 100%, has any got any ideas?

I also wanted to know if it safe to have it so close to the house (might be a silly question)

    Thanks in advance

    Welcome to the forums!

It does look like a Magnolia.
    Maybe Magnolia grandiflora.
Would need to see pic of flowers to be sure.
They are often grown against walls..never heard of any problems with them.

Bethanie these forums are based in UK with very helpful /knowledgeable people.

Other one you have posted on ..equally helpful, but based in USA.
...so not used to our climate/growing conditions.

Such a pity Bethanie that you have now edited on USA forum to delete your image and question, when so many people there took the time to help you.
Now the answers make no sense.

It helps others to see the pics/questions.
From questions and the answers .....everyone learns.
Included me ....I have learn so much from Plant id forums over the past years.

I just wanted you to know that growing conditions in USA are different to here.
The plants are very often identical.
