Another use for old pallets!

    My OH is great at thinking up uses for old pallets, here is one of our window boxes he cobbled together at the weekend

    He has made another larger one for the dining room window which he has seeded with salad leaves

    What a great garden you have golcarlilly, it looks fanastic, our first compost bins were made from pallets, they lasted abut 12 years :) in fact the hub has built new one's just a few weeks ago, when i first started gardening the budget was low, very low, ziltch:0 and he made alsorts of things from pallets, including planters, Iv'e just rememberd i still have a pallet outside the greenhouse, my first go at decking Haha...Dee..

    Cool! I may have to make some pallet decking myself! We wanted something cheap for the space by the compost bins and that could just do the trick! did he make the compost bins (if that's what they are) too?

    Hi golcarlilly, there the new bins... The pallet decking has been down for years, i just give them a coat of fence treatment every couple of years, ..Dee...
    PS I just dropped the whole pallet down, no sawing or cutting required....Dee..
