Dear All, I purchased this Anthurium with white flowers a few months ago. It sits in a room with not-great light, but I put it ouside on the doorstep when it is sunny so it gets a good bathe in rays. However- the plant is very spindly and it has started to developed these brown, necrotic patches on what were previously healthy, emerald-green leaves . I’m a newbie with houseplants, but I can see something is wrong here- can anyone suggest what I might do please? Thank you in advance!

I'd guess it's sunburn - they don't like direct light. But it might also be worth checking that the plant isn't waterlogged.

Houseplants are usually raised in perfect conditions, and it can be hard when they move to a home with insufficient humidity, imperfect watering, imperfect light etc. Sometimes it takes them a while to settle and some leaves can get imperfections, so I wouldn't worry too much unless you start seeing a lot more brown
