Ants on the Run

Yesterday we had an invasion of giant ants like we have never seen before .... thousands of them marching along carrying Jacaranda seeds. Jacaranda seeds are about 2cm across including their 'wings', the seed itself about 1cm. We normally have two sizes of ants ... tiny and normal. Here are the giant ones and the last picture shows a normal sized one 'helping' the giant one ... it was quite fascinating to watch ...
