Ants

"HELP " Can anyone help or advise i am absolutely infested with ants, the front garden the rear garden and the most annoying they have nearly destroyed my runner beans leaves. And until i put one of those sticky bands around my bramley apple they would have done the same with that.
They have started to creep into the greenhouse now with this hot weather. i have puts loads of ant powder down but the armies still return any advise would be most welcome.
