Every summer my lawn becomes infested with red ants that give a nasty sting with any human contact making sitting on the lawn for bbq's etc impossible. I now have a baby & with the spring/ summer approaching feel that the lawn is going to become out of bounds again because of these pests. Is there any way of getting rid of ants, i've tried most powders & sprays on the market but these just seem to kill the ones that come in contact with it?

Hi davedave. We Childmind here and it is a problem.
Instead of letting the little ones play directly on the grass we lay heavy grade decorators dust sheets down. Great for us bigger ones to Sunbathe on too,and you can spot the ants long before they "spot" you :D

Hi, I had this trouble every year but found that if I gave everywhere a really good spray of Stop Ant, I had the rest of the summer free from the beasts. It really was good stuff, and I recommended it to friends who it also worked for. I've moved now, waiting for the summer to see if my friends moved with me!

Is it ok to use in an area where the kiddies play?

Yeah, as I recall fine for kiddies and pets. Might still have a bottle, will try and dig it out. I had tried all sorts, but this was fab. Only had to treat once during the summer, it was amazing. If I can find it, I'll give you the garb on the back.

Just found this description, guess anything that you can use in the home must be fine for humans! Read the back before you buy though....you're right, with kiddiewinkles you want to be 110% sure!!

'One application gives up to 3 months protection from ants and other crawling insects. Weather resistant, for use in and around the home'
