    Oh no, I'd forgotten about those. I hope not, we've still got flipping great big May bugs knocking on the doors and windows.

    I like the May bugs.

    The Ants decided against it after all, humid, but not warm enough I guess.

    When I first moved to my present home, a lady down the road warned me that the area suffered from flying ants so huge that they were downright terrifying. They turned out to be damselflies.

      It's usually around June, Ziggy, when the ants start flying lessons. I keep finding leather helmets and goggles all over the place, and they use the highest part of the lawn for the landing strip.:D:heehee:

      I thought it was a bit previous of them. They've finally managed to forge a route thru the old outside loo, now a woodshed, they never managed that when it was part of the house, spiders used to cocoon them straight away.

      Kids at skool today had to hit the floor as a swarm of hornets went over.:OUCH:

      i usually look to the sky first..when i see the sea gulls gathering i know something is in the wind.Round here it's usually mid to late june when the ants scarper ...if my chooks are out roaming all hell breaks loose ..it's great to whatch...
