Here go's;

1= Looks like a Viola
2= The yellow flowers look like creeping buttercup. The upright growing shoots look rather like either scented Stocks or Lysimachia (I have these growing in a patch here - trying to get shot of the Stocks, but I can't remember which shoot is which!).
3= Dicentra (D.formosa I think).
4= Centaurea (cornflower) I think.
5= ?

 

1) looks like a violet or viola. My violets are bluer though.
2) Lesser celandine (Ranunculus ficaria), also known as pilewort from the shape of the roots. It's a perennial very persistent. Every bit of the root left in the ground can sprout. Survives normal composting. Good point it's a cheery bit of spring colour and dies down completely by the end of
May.
3) Agree with longk Dicentra formosa.
4) ?
5) Could be a Geranium maybe Geranuium rotundifolium.

 

Get rid of the lesser celandine as it spreads very rapidly by tuber and seed. My garden is covered with it and it is impossible to avoid spreading the tubers around while replanting etc. They just look like a bit of pea gravel in the soil once the foliage dies off.

The plant was an Aconitum.

 

Interesting tense...The plant WAS an Aconitum.
I thought it was your thread dudgarden but it isn't ....so not sure how we can be sure, until we see the flowers.
