any idea what these are

    My dad was given some plants about a year ago on his birthday, a couple of them we don't know what they are .
    So I am hoping someone with more knowledge than me (would not be hard :-) can tell us what they are.

    Hi there amg. The first is a Caryopteris, a small shrub with lovely blue flowers at this time of year. Prune in Spring to keep it compact and flowering well.

    The second is Lychnis coronaria, a short lived perennial but very easy from seed. It will also seed itself around as well.

    Thanks very much for identifying them for me.
    Just phoned my dad and told him what you said, and he is making up labels for them both.
