There is a area of my garden which faces North and gets little or no sunlight its about 20 feet long and 3 feet wide and is bounded on one side by a 6 foot fence and on the other by a row of raspberries. I tried to grow cabbages there last year but the results were spindly and only good for compost. Has anyone got any ideas as to a vegitable I could grow in this area that would produce some reasonable results?

lettuce, rocket, spinach....anything leafy should tolerate shade. if you call organic gardening catalogue they can recommend stuff, but they are pricey
