    I have a feeling they are onion fly maggots hatching out ready to go off to pupate in the soil or find another onion !!!

    I havnt a clue what you can do now , probably have to use straight away I cant see you being able to keep them long before they rot , if anything is left inside !!!

    What do you lot think agree or disagree

    Thank you very much in deed, a friend told me today the cocoon in the first pic could be a leek moth

    I agree with Spruce, it's Onion Fly. Sorry but theres little you can do once they have got into the onions. Badly affected ones need to be destroyed, don't compost them.
