      Not yet Sal.
Are we out of the woods yet? regarding frost.

Anyway, best to get some decent growth going first, to try to catch up.
Tops might be moving, not sure the roots are yet, on mine.

I usually move mine out in mid May , but been reading around that actually , many peoples are moving bananas out in April as they can hold light frost and need to harden off , otherwise they will get sunbun very easly .......

but I only read about it ......would be nice to hear from peoples who have done it ...

Blimey yours are early. No sign of movement on mine yet, although mine has been left outside I didn't dig them up.

Just to clarify, my Musa Basjoos are outside and have been all winter (same as the winter before).

My Ensete's were dug up and over-wintered dry in the g.house, no sign of movement on any.

We are talking about Musa Basjoo which is hardy here in the UK, it dies down over winter then grows back vigorously. Mine are about 6 ft but mature ones can get double that:

This is last Aug in my garden Clarie, the two Musa Basjoo are just to the right of centre behind the spiky cordylines.

Also my other border with red bananas (Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelii'):

I moved my bananas out last week.
Last spring, i started them off in my spare room. But this year my one surviving plant (there were 2 but one died over the winter in the garage) is too big. So it has gone straight out.
No signs of life in my basjoo yet.

I only have Ensetes which will stay in the greenhouse till mid May.
I think we still have some cold nights to come so I'm not taking any chances.
