Somebody told me Deutzia Strawberry Fields was quite slow growing so on their advice I bought 3 plants about 2 years ago. Well they might be slow growing with some people but not here! In the time I've had them they have grown like Topsy and have outgrown their allotted space:frown:. Yes I could prune them a lot but still they'd be too crowded.
Nothing for it but to lift 2 plants and leave 1 in situ. All 3 are currently growing in full sun. Where I have the most suitable place to move the 2 needing shifted is in a semi shaded area. Will they do ok and flower well despite not the sunniest spot? The only other alternative would be to create another shrub bed...NO definitely too:old: to do that or swap around other shrubs which might do better in shade, that of course makes extra work which I could do without but prepared to do that if needs be. Any advice greatly appreciated.
