Went a couple of nights ago to watch the film version and people were bawling their eyes out all over the place!

It a VERY good adaptation of the stage show that I saw in 2011, would highly recommend it. My only comment is that Russell Crowe sounded a bit like John Virgo when he sang lol

I have seen it, thoroughly enjoyed it, well cast, I love Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman. Lovely cinematography ??, although I will admit the singing of all the lines was starting to niggle.

I went last week and absolutely loved it, been singing it in my head ever since. I might even go again. I thought Anne Hathaway was brilliant.
I think I might have got slightly weepy towards the end, I'm usually stony-faced in all these tear-jerkers.

I'm glad you both enjoyed it too :)
Pam... it's a musical, they're supposed to sing the lines lol

I was expecting rapturous applause at the end but of course being in a cinema you don;t get that!

There was a heck of a lot of singing, not much talking, I do expect singing in a musical, but also expect a little narrative.
