I was lucky and managed to cut mine in January during the dry spell. It still looks good but is much too soggy to get the mower on now.

Real problem down 'ere! Grass has hardly stopped growing all winter, so in places it's a foot high. Did the wee patch at the front of the house with the self-propelled rotary jobbie (poor stuff, the grass, though - under a big oak tree) but it looked as if I'd massacred it!! But I think it would have looked worse later on if I'd left it.

Then got the big 'un out to do the pathways round the barn and the field edges, but it was tough going... it's on a slope, and the tyres got clogged with mud and mowings, and the side ejection chute with grass. I had more clogs than a Burnley cotton mill! Plus I got wheelspin!! On a garden tractor??? Joke!!

So I did just the necessary - and left it at that!

Our front lawn wants cutting, though it doesn't look too bad whereas the bog out the back garden is just that,so no mowing. We have threatened to dig it all up and skip the whole lot and green slab the whole area :D

HAven't done mine yet, or anyone else's, for that matter. Saw the first of the council ones out this morning though! Started to rain heavily about 5 this evening, so I guess I'll hold off just a bit longer...

My neighbor cut his yesterday so I though I may have a go on Saturday if the rain kept off but it's rained again so I'll have to leave it.
It's looking awful, but one of my projects this year is to reduce my grass area and have more planting.

And I've got mega moss in my front patch

Moss! Moss! Don't start me on moss.

We have one area about 30 x 20 ft that is so thick with moss that we sink past our ankles in it. Friends come round and take it for their hanging baskets. It's spreading over the lawns and flower beds now.

    Nuff said
