    Hi All
OK, had this brilliant idea for growing a climbing rose in a tub :ideaIPB: just wondered if anyone else has grown one this way. I shall wind it round the wigwam as it grows. Rose is Breath of Life so it is only a small climber. Here is a pic. was a miserable afternoon so pic not very bright.

I've seen a similar arrangement done. Our local garden centre used to sell wooden troughs, with a built on trellis, and a well established climbing rose growing happily in it.

I've never seen it exactly as you've done though. It looks like a good idea. Keep us posted on progress because if it works I might pinch your idea:)

I've never tried it Gemini, but I can't see any reason why it won't work.
Do update us with how it gets on.

Hi Gemini, dont see any reason why it should not be a success .it is a climbing rose and you have created a climbing frame. one thing i would do (not Criticizing) what you have done.is place another @ 3
canes spacing for growth, as you want to guide this rose's growth on the canes .

Yes I see what you mean the gaps between the canes might be too wide. Yes, I will remedy that the first nice afternoon we have, thanks for the tip.!!!
